Ecoland is a furniture and home decor company based in Cape Town South Africa.

It is our stated objective to make high quality, custom made, unique furniture using waste and reclaimed wood from industry and the private sector. We are passionate about what we do. We are Eco Warriors (Worriers). Our team of highly dedicated individuals is able to identify waste products for our raw materials from many sectors. We take great pride in cleaning up our neighbourhoods, all while making beautiful high quality furniture and decor.

Ecoland was set up specifically to address three major problems we face in South Africa, and indeed the world right now. We address the industrial wood waste problem, most specifically from the packing industry. Our trusted network allows us to gather broken and throwaway wooden packaging materials and process these into the furniture our clients have come to love and trust. We address the mounting skills and jobs shortage in South Africa by taking on board young apprentices and training them in the art of furniture making. These men often come from abject poverty, and our skills program allows them to gather essential life skills via our artisanal workshops. It is our goal to create an ongoing and ever expanding industrial skills centre around our core commodity, being wood waste. It is our goal to employ hundreds of people in South Africa. Our staff enjoy a creative environment where they are encouraged to think laterally, all while coached in skills and product development. Our first staff member is now a master woodworker in little over two years. Using his new found skills he is now training the next generation of staff members recently in our employ. Lastly, we hope to address rising costs by producing and encouraging the supply at a reasonable price of solid wood indoor furniture and outdoor garden related planter items.
